Follow the steps below to install Visual Studio for Mac:
Download and run the Visual Studio 2019 for Mac.
When the Visual Studio for Mac Installer window pops up, select .NET Core and click Install and Update.
Visual Studio for Mac Extension for Tizen is a Visual Studio extension that helps the development of Tizen applications by linking the Visual Studio IDE with the Tizen SDK.
Take the following steps to install Visual Studio for Mac Extension for Tizen:
In the Visual Studio menu, click Extensions...
The Extension Manager window will pop up and then click Refresh in the Gallery tab to get the latest updates of the extensions.
In the upper-right search bar, enter tizen to search Visual Studio for Mac Extension for Tizen, and click Install...
After the installation, reopen Visual Studio for Mac, click New and confirm that Tizen category is shown on the left side menu.

The following steps show how to install Tizen SDK through Visual Studio:
Install Oracle Java Development Kit(JDK) 8.
Start Visual Studio for Mac. On the Visual Studio for Mac menu bar, select Tools > Tizen > Tizen Package Manager. Tizen SDK installer window will pop up shortly.
Click Install new Tizen SDK, and click I Agree if you accept the license agreement.
Set an empty folder path for Tizen SDK and select Install Samsung Certificate Extension. Then, click Next to start the installation of Tizen SDK. It will take a few minutes.
If you can run the Tizen SDK tools on the Visual Studio menu bar Tools > Tizen, the installation is complete.

After upgrading to macOS Mojave version, you may see dialogs saying 'Visual Studio Code would like to access your {calendar/contacts/photos}.' This is due to the new privacy protections in Mojave and is not specific to VS Code. The same dialogs may be displayed when running other applications as well. The dialog is shown once for each type of personal data and it is fine to choose Don't Allow since VS Code does not need access to those folders. VS Code ships monthly releases and supports auto-update when a new release is available. If you're prompted by VS Code, accept the newest update and it will get installed (you won't need to do anything else to get the latest bits).
Note: You can disable auto-update if you prefer to update VS Code on your own schedule.
You can configure VS Code through settings, color themes, and custom keybindings available through the Code > Preferences menu group.
You may see mention of File > Preferences in documentation, which is the Preferences menu group location on Windows and Linux. On a macOS, the Preferences menu group is under Code, not File.
